Franka is the only employee of comic book store expatNERD. Her knowledge of comic book history is exceptional and her German upbringing gives her a no-nonsense personality that has proven effective in winning most debates against her perceived arch-nemesis, Curt. She is loyal to her boss Marv and to Quiver, her lovable Liger whom she found one day taking refuge in the middle of a bunch of long-boxes.
Though her attitude toward Curt is outright hostile, she secretly likes him and views him as the older brother she never had. She is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, having taken lessons in various martial art forms over the years.
