    23 – Millennium

Last week I said some pretty bad things of Millennium, the big DC Comics Crossover Event of 1988. I just want to emphasize my disliking of said event without blaming any of the creators. And I do think I can do that because it was really bad. Yes, hindsight is always 20/20 or, as we Germans like to say, Hinterher ist man immer schlauer.

Nevertheless, it is times like these when I have no choice but to stand there and listen to words of praise come from Curt’s mouth that I am eternally grateful for our no refund and return policy.

Or maybe I’m being too hard on Curt?

    Nawwwww.

Considering that this officially marks the very special first appearance of my own girlfriend, I thought it would be more than appropriate to jump in on this week’s post!

Yes, I have a girlfriend and I mentioned her when I told Marv about my shelving problem. Which I can happily say totally worked.

When significant others meet the other people in our lives, we sometimes are concerned, because you may have that fear that there just won’t be a large enough of clicking involved. Thankfully, Curt solves this problem for us by buying, and loving, the DC Comics crossover event of 1988 Millennium that ended up being weird. I mean there were a few nice things in there, mainly in the crossover titles…but not in the actual Millennium itself. Nothing against those creators because making comics is hard. I mean I guess the intention was good but the editors missed the mark on that one.

    Trotzdem.

Back to the issue at hand, the first interaction went quite well and Barb’s confusion can be justified because saying something like Curt has irreparable brain damage is something I would say.

    Doch?

    Bis bald,
