Welcome, fellow expatNERDs, to our new, improved, and IN COLOR comic. Franka is taking the series in a new direction and I think you will be pleased. And what better way to launch this new direction than with the official telling of Quiver’s Secret Origin!
Now for a bit of housekeeping.
First, this storyline will run all the way to the Christmas holiday, which means that Quiver’s origin will be the final storyline of 2025 and the conclusion of what Franka deems to be “Season 1.”
Secondly, each part will be told in two pages, which is very much a shoutout and homage to those classic two-page stories that ran prevalently in British comics, such as The Steel Claw and The Spider, to only name two of the literal thousands if not tens of thousands of comics that ran with this format. It was quite common to pick up a comic in the UK that had a bunch of stories running inside it that were told in two part installments on a weekly basis. Franka liked this so much that she is transferring it here. We are ramping up so each page will currently be on a weekly basis, but we do hope to release both installments in one week; the first on Tuesday and the final on Thursday. But since we are ramping up this will likely occur next year.
Third, the website. With this new format we do have to rethink not only the color scheme but also the way in which we present the comic to you on the homepage, the individual post, as well as the dedicated Solicitations Comic Page. This will definitely be a work in progress and will be revised along the way, so again, please bear with us.
Finally, we are very excited and are working quite hard to make this happen. We have a lot to say with this new direction and we really cannot wait to share it with you right here on expatNERD.com as well as on the socials, Tapas, and Webtoons that we are currently active in.
As Paul Levitz liked to say, the best is yet to come!
