  • 46 – Abduction! conclusion

    And that’s all folks! At least for 2025 and is there a better way to end the year than with a full-page splash? I really think no.

    Wow what a year has it been. We started out as a four panel, black and white comic with a huge harkening back to webcomics like Penny Arcade and PvP. Then it blossomed into a full-color sci-fi epic full of talking Ligers, space pirates, and now a comic book store in space.

    We are hard at work developing Season 2 of Solicitations. With Franka’s creative output at full blast, there are just so many fun possibilities that we can take this. A comic book store in space, battling actual space pirates? I don’t think it can get better than that. But it will I promise!

    As we close out the year you can check back at expatNERD regularly and you will see some updates and tweaks to the website itself as we continue to develop the navigation and all those web-site things that need to be done in order to accommodate the new direction.

    I do not have a specific date in mind for the launch of Season 2 but I do hope to have it as soon as we can.

    And until that time, from the bottom of my and Franka’s heart, a very big thankful to you, our regular readers, that have showed us support. We cannot wait to bring you Season 2.

  • 45 – The Long Goodbye!

    The plot is thickening aye?

    And how do you tell a ship full of space pirates that their whole lives have been a lie? Carefully I would presume otherwise you might walk the plank…or getting thrown out of the airlock, which is probably more appropriate in this setting.

    As you can tell we are still keeping our schedule of one page a week and we should be able to conclude this two-parter next week. We are roaring right to the Christmas holiday and we can’t wait to bring you this tale. So far it has been a lot of fun.

    Until then, please remember that when it comes to space pirates…please try to tell the truth even if they obviously won’t.
